From the collection: Home in the Heart, part 1 of my Black Forest series
An old, medieval tower called "Hirschturm" in my hometown of Zell am Harmersbach in the Middle Black Forest.
The round tower served at that time as a prison and was also part of the city wall at that time, since Zell, as a former imperial city, was allowed to act independently of the emperor and thus had to protect itself.
The tower is surrounded by greenery and offers benches to rest and relax. Back when I chose it as a subject, I sat down on the bench and sketched it.
