This vibrant color palette has everything you need to dream up with pink elephants flying in the sky and cotton candy clouds.
When we think about our childhood, our homeland or our past in general, we often turn it into a beautiful dream.
“Everything was better before.”
You hear that often.
And I am not spared from it.
But sometimes it's still true.
Today I see the place of my childhood as a place of peace and security.
The forest, the fresh air and the clear, soft water give me great joy. My mental health needs these peaceful feelings. I enjoy spending time with my parents and seeing the sunny yellow house I grew up in with its beautiful garden. And I often think of my cat Tommy, who died in 2013 and made my home a sweet, cozy paradise.
All of this is called nostalgia and is reflected in my new artwork "Memories".
Painted in dreamy colors and places of longing with little surprises from my homeland.
